SC Competes Now Recruiting for Grant-Supported, AI-Ready CTE Pathways Initiative
SC Competes, in partnership with the University of South Carolina and the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB), is recruiting a select group of South Carolina school districts for a grant-supported, statewide initiative preparing students for AI-enabled, high-demand careers. The AI-Ready CTE Pathways Initiative integrates artificial intelligence, engineering concepts, and industry-informed, problem-based learning into existing CTE programs aligned to South Carolina’s workforce needs.
The initiative focuses on Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering, Healthcare & Human Services, and Supply Chain, Logistics, and Transportation (Automotive). Participating districts receive fully supported educator professional development, AI-integrated curriculum aligned to state standards, industry-informed resources, student access to USC engineering and AI programs, and ongoing technical assistance.
